Banff World Media Festival 2025
Creators, storytellers, and media experts gathered once again for the Banff World Media Festival in June. Brunico Communications and Jump Studios teamed up to create a new design package for the Rockie Awards Show. Our design aimed to seamlessly merge two main themes: the beauty of Banff and the elegance of an awards show. We achieved this by incorporating silver and gold outlines of mountains against abstract backgrounds that evoke the northern lights. Here’s a teaser of the elements reel!gins with an idea.
Burns Film Ltd – The Stoney Nakoda Film Project
The Stoney Nakoda Film Project sheds light on the resilience of the Stoney Nakoda people in the face of exclusionary practices following the signing of Treaty 7. It reveals how their culture and customs, once exploited for entertainment in events like Banff Indian Days, the Calgary Stampede, and Hollywood films, are now celebrated and honored. Gary Burns reached out to Jump Studios for the online, color grading and finishing on this inspiring documentary. Check out this before-and-after vignette.
ESPN – Oz and Ends
ESPN and Jump Studios have teamed up to bring you a fun series of infographics called “Oz and Ends” for the Australian Open! This year, we highlighted the time difference between the matches happening in Australia and the American viewers tuning in from home. Our team jumped right in to serve up these playful graphics. Baywest Homes “Make it Yours”
Baywest Homes is celebrating its 40th anniversary! Fulcrum Communications approached Jump Studios for the edit, color grade, and finishing of a 30 and 15 second spot for broadcast and web. Jump also assisted with casting, and you might recognize one of the team members from Jump in a heart-to-heart scene. Alpha Bravo Films - Stars Air Ambulance
Stars Air Ambulance is committed to saving lives, and raising awareness is a vital part of their mission. The nonprofit organization and Alpha Bravo Films approached Jump for the design and animation of motion graphics to enhance their year-end video message from the President. Paul Gardener, the newest member of the Jump team, created the motion graphics for this piece.
ESPN – NHL “Stadium Series”
Coming to a football stadium near you … an NHL hockey game! ESPN came to Jump Studios for the design and animation of a 3D hockey rink being built in the center of Ohio Stadium. The animated promo premiered across ESPN’s networks and on social media in December for the Columbus Blue Jackets and Detroit Red Wings outdoor game in March of 2025.
Lux Windows “Born & Bred”
In 1969, a family business was born, creating Lux Windows and Doors by hand with heart. Fulcrum Communications and Jump Studios teamed up to produce this spot for the Alberta based company. The team poured their heart into this project, working tirelessly over nine video shoots all before the snow flew. It took multiple crew, talent, horses and a bull to tell this inspiring story of how Lux was “Born and Bred” right here at home. Jump Studios was involved in all aspects, from casting to final delivery.
Calgary Stampede - Young Riders 2024
Thanks to generous sponsors every year, youth organizations get to enjoy an exciting afternoon at the rodeo. The Calgary Stampede wanted a vibrant, youthful promotion for this event and Jump delivered with style. Jump crafted a playful opener using 3D layers, animated fonts, and hand-drawn elements. This dynamic composition sets the stage for this beloved annual program.
ESPN - Wimbledon
In 100 days, ESPN transformed the All England Lawn and Tennis Club by constructing two new state-of-the-art studios. The upgrades include versatile shooting options with a three-person desk, an interview zone, an interactive touchscreen, and a colossal "mega wall" video display. ESPN and Jump teamed up to design content for the new mega wall. Here is a teaser of the elements reel.
CPKC - Rail Safety Week
Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) and the CPKC Police Service have officially launched Rail Safety Week across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. This week-long initiative shines a spotlight on the importance of safety around railway crossings and tracks. CPKC and Jump collaborated on this compelling video that captures a conductor’s perspective during a near-miss incident.
Sasha Reid & the Midnight Order
Premiering on July 9th on Freeform, "Sasha Reid & The Midnight Order" is a true crime series that follows an all-female investigative team as they delve into the minds of serial killers. Jump Studios was approached by XTR to handle the conform, online, color grade in collaboration with Company 3, and final finishing on this 5-episode series.
Pam August – Potential
Pam August, a consultant, facilitator, and coach, teamed up with Jump Studios to produce a series of short videos to promote her debut book, Potential - How to Connect What’s Already There for Exponential Impact. We were able to distill Pam's key messages as the author and captured her vibrant energy on camera using simple yet effective production techniques. As a result, the videos were hailed by her publicist as the most outstanding author video to date.
Breaking Life, Road to Paris 2024
Who knew that breakdancing was an Olympic sport? The Olympic Channel launched a new original series “Breaking Life, Road to Paris 2024”. This four-part series follows the journeys of eight B-boys and B-girls on their road to the Olympic Games. Thanks to XTR for dancing with Jump to tackle the online and multiple deliverables. Shaw – Stampede Toolkit
IIn 2011, when approached by Shaw to create a set of mini-show opens for their coverage of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, we jumped at the chance to create something stylistically unique. Using edgy, grungy design elements with images from the event we created a package that represents the excitement and energy of the Calgary Stampede.
Rosie Awards - Graphic Design Package
Calling all producers and creative talent in Alberta! Submissions for the 2024 Alberta Film & Television (Rosie) Awards are now open and the deadline to submit is May 31st! Jump Studios was proud to be part of the Rosie Awards 50th Anniversary last year by creating the movie marquee themed graphics for the show. Here is a teaser of the elements reel!
Media Calgary Inc – greengate Garden Centres
Are you set for Mother’s Day? greengate Garden Centres has you covered with blooms and plants for Mom! greengate along with agency, Media Calgary Inc, asked Jump Studios to grow their idea for a mall digital billboard ad from a seedling to a full 3D bouquet. The idea bloomed with animation from Jump forcing the perspective to look like the flowers are coming out of the screen. And just like real giant lilies, the result is dramatic and improves any space. (Shout out to Rob Sweetman at 123 West Design for the original design and tag line!) Happy Mother’s Day!
CPKC Stadium
CPKC recently celebrated the opening of the world's first stadium specifically designed for a women's professional sports team. To commemorate this historic moment, CPKC collaborated with Jump to create a full 3D animation of a glass soccer ball that features player image reflections, a locomotive model inside the glass panes, and a bold 3D gold CPKC logo that transforms into the CPKC Stadium logo. This animation plays on the giant LED scoreboard located at the end of the field. Additionally, Jump also designed a 2D ring banner and several still images for display on various screens throughout the stadium.
Historica Canada - Heritage Minute “Norman Kwong”
We are excited to share this Heritage Minute by Historica Canada celebrating the life and legacy of Norman Kwong, the first CFL player of Chinese heritage and 4x Grey Cup winner. After his football career Kwong was part-owner of the Calgary Flames hockey team, and he would become lieutenant-governor of Alberta in 2005. Jump was honored to tackle the online, color and VFX for this amazing piece! Thanks to Danny Rocket Productions for the opportunity to collaborate.
